Mom took lots of pictures on the drives so I thought I´d include some.

A little homeless spot.
First we went to this cool street that only sells Christian products. I got a trilingual Bible! (English, Spanish, and Portuguese) Then we went to Sé Catherdral, but it´s not the best area so we didn´t get our cameras out. Since it was Christmas Eve there were more homeless than normal in line to get free food that was being served for the holiday. Sé is a huge church with the largest organ in all of Latin America. I knew mom would like that!

We went to the Municipal Market and had lunch there. This huge building used to store coffee which was Brazil´s largest export.
It was quite hot and the restaurant had fans that blew out mist. It was great!
This amazing family took us to the airport and back home (twice!) and took us all around the city on Christmas Eve. The little boy in the purple is one of my students. My parents are convinced that these kiddos are prefect. I think they are pretty great too!!

We also went to a street called "Vinte Cinco de Marco" (the 25th of March) which is crazy busy and has lots of shops. It was also an area where we couldn´t take pictures, but it sure gave my parents a good experience of big city life! They got ALL the sights and smells!!!
We went home for a few quick minutes and then went to Calvary Church for their Christmas Eve service. The service was wonderful and my parents got to meet some more of my students.
Then we went over to the home of another one of my student´s.
Here is my dad talking with my student. Later he played Uno with all the kids. They loved it and so did he. He´s a pretty great dad and grandpa!

Appetizers...which was followed by lasagna, then chicken and potatoes, and then dessert! We NEVER went hungry!!!
