Christmas Vacation: Day 1

Katie lives upstairs and she had given me a recipe for pancakes a couple weeks ago, so we got together and made Mickey Mouse pancakes for ourselves and her mom.

Then we decided to check out the PACA pool since it recently opened.  We had fun swimming...

and exploring a little since Katie found a banana tree!  If you look close at the middle you will see a red spot on a ball shaped object.  It comes from a dark cord and at the top of that is a bunch of green bananas.

That evening a wonderful co-worker had me over to her home.  She lives in one of the 4 high rise buildings in our area so I was able to see where I live from above.  It was really interesting!

She made a huge delicious Indian dinner beginning with fresh squeezed orange juice (not pictured) and appetizers.

Yum, yum, and yum!!!

Then she drove me downtown to see a massive Christmas tree at a famous park...

and we watched a Christmas musical fountain!  I uploaded a couple videos of the English songs.

At the end of the show all the trees behind the water lit up.  The pictures that you can see in the middle of the fountain are all made from water and colored light!  It kind of reminded me of the musical fountain in Grand Haven.
