Egyptian Mummies and Life Today

Like last year we went through the process of "mummifying" a stuffed animal.

We cut open the stuffed animal and removed all the "organs" except for the heart.  I tossed the "organs" (stuffing) out to the kids.  They were all excited to try and get some!

We washed what was left of the mummy, put special preserving salts on it and then wrapped it up.

A lady who works at our school used to be a missionary in Brazil.  She came and presented to our class teaching us about daily life in Egypt today.   She even gave each child a piece of real papyrus paper at the end of the class.  Many of them have the Lord´s Prayer written on them in Arabic!  What a special treat for our class!

 I got a special piece!
